Hot off the heels of releasing his bespoke pair of glow-in-the-dark Crocs , Bad Bunny is about to bring more of his signature footwear to your shoe closet. Rumors are swirling among streetwear websites that the reggaeton superstar has linked up with Adidas to create a pair of sneakers. If true, then it’s believed that the kicks will be available as a part of the sportswear brand’s Spring/Summer 2021 offering.
Bad Bunny has often shared his love of collecting sneakers so we’re stoked he finally got the chance to design a pair. “Ever since I was a child, I’ve liked sneakers,” Bad Bunny said in a 2018 interview with Complex. The magazine broke the news that the Latine superstar is lending his creative vision to create a unique pair of the classic Adidas Forum model which was initially introduced in 1984.
Complex shared a photo of the sneakers from Benito’s collab with Adidas. The color palette featured on the Puerto Rican’s take on the Forum silhouette looks quite similar to his crocs with all-beige detailing that very well may also be glow-in-the-dark. The kicks seem to feature light blue design details on the sole and side sole of the shoes.
Fans of the “Callaíta” singer proved that they’re down to buy what he’s selling. His Crocs collab was an instant sell-out. The Crocs, which retail for $60, are being resold for over $200.
The throw-back Forum sneaker is expected to be the canvas for many upcoming Adidas celebrity collaborations that are slated to hit shelves in the coming months just in time for the holiday gift-giving season. Adidas hasn’t confirmed the partnership with Bad Bunny. Remezcla reached out to Adidas for comments on the rumors, but didn’t hear back about whether the sneakerhead collab of our dreams is soon to be a reality.
