Whether it’s an evening drink with friends, a date or just a weekend dance party, dressing up for a club is challenging for men. You don’t want to appear too sloppy neither too appropriate. You also don’t want to seem like you spent a fortune and are tyring too hard to impress. Here are a few tips to help you dress just right.
—–Know the club —–
If it’s a fancy, high-end club, jeans may not be appropriate. A semi-formal outfit is best for a fancy club whereas tight-fitting jeans is good for a low-end club. Do find out about the dress code, the venue of the club and the kind of people who attend.
—–Be stylish —–
If you haven’t been to the barber or the salon lately, now is your time. Style up your hair, get a fancy shave and enjoy a face-cleansing massage. You want to look clean, fresh and stylish. Nothing impresses women more than a man who looks and smells fresh.
—–Avoid clunky accessories —–
It’s not cool to wear sunglasses, heavy chains or bracelets to a club (no matter how they show it in movies!). You don’t want to look like a drug lord. The best accessory for men is their wrist watch. Wear a fancy wrist watch along with great shoes and you’re good to go.
—–Don’t wear black —–
Black is a sexy color which means almost everyone is going to wear black and dance under dark lights. If you wear black, you’ll just fade away in the crowd. If you want to stand out, blue and gray are your best bet.
—–Don’t forget comfort! —–
As much as you want to look stylish, don’t forget comfort. Crowded clubs have a warm environment and before you know it, you’ll be drenched in sweat. Wear a fabric that can control the sweat and won’t make you feel like a wet slob.
